Driven to the Edge of Land 3ds max, Photoshop July 2007
The composite is made up of several photos, lots of airbrushing and a rendered Audi. The car was a simple scanline render that looked horrible, so I thought I better jazz it up.
The image is broken down into different sections, starting with the top, the upper clouds were taken from a few photographs of Caribbean skies. The far-away clouds, were 6 photos stiched together and stamped. The sea was taken from a photo and repainted and stamped. The beach was part painted/part from photo. The tyre tracks were airbrushed and the cliffs inserted from another image, taken in the South of England.
All in all, I was happy with the final image, especially considering the poor quality car render.
